1. What surfaces can Chalkboard Paint be applied to?

This paint can be applied to wood, metal, plaster, drywall, MDF, glass, and other smooth surfaces to create a writable chalkboard finish.

2. What is the difference between the 400ml aerosol and the 500ml tin?

400ml Aerosol: Ideal for quick and easy spray application on small areas, craft projects, and detailed surfaces.

500ml Tin: Best for larger areas, such as walls, furniture, or doors, when applied with a brush or roller.

3. How do I apply Chalkboard Paint?

For Aerosol: Shake well, spray 8-12 inches (20-30 cm) from the surface in thin, even coats.

For Tin: Stir well, apply with a brush or roller, and allow each coat to dry before applying another.

4. How many coats are needed for the best results?

For optimal coverage and durability, apply at least 2–3 coats, allowing proper drying time between layers.

5. How long does the paint take to dry?

Touch dry: 30 minutes

Recoat time: 1–2 hours

Fully cured: 24 hours (recommended before using chalk)

6. Can I use liquid chalk markers on this paint?

Yes, but test in a small area first, as some markers may leave residue. Traditional chalk is recommended for easy erasing.

7. How do I clean the chalkboard surface after use?

Use a dry or slightly damp cloth to wipe off chalk. Avoid harsh cleaners that may damage the finish.

8. Is this paint safe for children?

Yes, once dry, it is non-toxic and safe for indoor use. Ensure proper ventilation during application.

9. Can this paint be used outdoors?

Yes! It is weather-resistant, but for outdoor use, a protective clear coat may help extend durability.

10. Can I repaint over Chalkboard Paint?

Yes, simply sand the surface lightly and apply a fresh coat of chalkboard paint or another type of paint as needed.
