1. What is Heat Resistant Paint used for?

This paint is designed for metal surfaces exposed to high temperatures up to 650°C. It is ideal for stoves, fireplaces, BBQs, exhaust systems, chimneys, industrial machinery, and other heat-exposed surfaces.

2. How do I apply Heat Resistant Paint for the best results?

Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from rust, grease, or dust.

Lightly sand any rough areas for better adhesion.

Stir the paint well before application.

Apply thin, even coats with a brush, roller, or spray gun.

Allow 10–15 minutes between coats.

Let it fully cure before exposing to high temperatures.

3. Does this paint require a primer?

No primer is necessary for most applications. However, if applying to bare metal, using a high-heat primer may improve adhesion and durability.

4. How long does it take to dry?

Touch dry: 30 minutes

Handle dry: 1–2 hours

Fully cured: 24 hours

For best performance, heat the painted surface gradually to allow the coating to fully cure.

5. Can this paint be used on BBQs and fire pits?

Yes! It is safe for BBQs, grills, and fire pits, providing long-lasting heat protection and preventing rust.

6. Will this paint peel or crack when exposed to heat?

No, when properly applied and cured, it forms a heat-resistant, non-peeling, and non-cracking finish.

7. Is this paint safe for food-contact surfaces?

No, this paint is not food-safe and should not be applied to surfaces that come into direct contact with food.

8. Can I use this on an engine or exhaust?

Yes! It is suitable for engine parts and exhaust systems, but for extreme temperatures above 650°C, a specialised high-heat exhaust paint is recommended.

9. Can this paint be used on brick or stone fireplaces?

This paint is formulated for metal surfaces. It may work on brick or stone, but a specialised masonry heat-resistant paint would be more effective.

10. Does this paint prevent rust?

Yes! It has anti-corrosion properties to help protect metal surfaces from rust and oxidation, especially in high-heat environments.

1. Apply directly to a cool surface
Remove all traces of oil, grease, dirt and other contaminants. Remove old paint and loose rust with steel wool or wire brush. Stir well before use, so that a smooth, uniform mix is obtained. Brush on in smooth strokes. Coat the surface with a maximum of 2 thin even layers, allowing 20 minutes to dry between layers.

2. Allow to dry
Allow at least 10 minutes for a touch dry finish, full cure/hardness is obtained after 1 hour.

3. Storage & Reuse
Store out of direct sunlight, in a cool well ventilated place. Consult the safety data sheet for more information.
